ONE-WAY TICKET TO TURKEY
Bad Bhoy Bolingoli ready to fly out again... and this time it’s for good!
BOLI BOLINGOLI has been offered the chance to end his Celtic exile with a move to the Turkish Super Lig.
The Belgian broke coronavirus rules by flying to Spain without informing the club, failing to quarantine on his return and then playing in a game against Kilmarnock.
Handed a three-match ban by the SFA, the left-back is also the subject of internal disciplinary proceedings following sharp criticism from manager Neil Lennon. The
champions had two games postponed due to the 25-yearold’s breach and, with his Parkhead career effectively over, he is poised to exit Glasgow. Turkish club Alanyaspor want the left-back, while rivals Basaksehir are also keen. Sources have denied reports of an interest from Italian side Roma.
French club Amiens wanted to buy Bolingoli earlier in the window, before talks broke down. Celtic want to recoup the £3million they paid Rapid Vienna for him last summer but could be forced to accept a loan with an option to buy next summer. They have begun the search for a replacement, with Charlton wing-back Alfie Doughty a £500,000 target.
