Myleene’s boyfriend pops the question (in their shed)
MYLEENE Klass has got engaged – on the fifth anniversary of her first date with her boyfriend.
Simon Motson popped the question with a nine-carat diamond ring in their garden shed, which he transformed to resemble the night they met at Little House members’ club in Mayfair.
The businessman also recreated the exact dinner they ate – burger and chips followed by cherry pie.
Miss Klass, 42, told Hello! magazine: ‘We’re engaged! I was absolutely blown away. When he got down on one knee and started fumbling around under the table, I thought he was joking.
‘Then I thought, “Oh my God, he’s for real”. I was completely speechless.’ Mr Motson, 45, added: ‘It’s quite a blur but I think I said something along the lines of: “Myleene Angela Klass, will you marry me?”.
And I had to say it again... and I think I said it a third time. Finally she said yes and we were both in tears.’
The couple began dating in 2015, three years after Miss Klass’s bitter split from ex-husband Graham Quinn.
The couple welcomed their first child together, son Apollo, last year.
TV star Miss Klass – who earlier this year posted a naked picture of her and Mr Motson in a bathtub – is mother to Ava, 13, and Hero, nine.
Mr Motson also has two children from a previous relationship.
He revealed the youngsters kept pushing him to propose.
‘They have been badgering me, so have their friends and their friends’ friends, all sitting in the car giving me advice at the age of nine,’ he said.
‘We announced it to them over dinner and they wanted to see the proposal, so I had to do it again. They all started crying and gave us a massive hug.
‘First and foremost I did this for us but I didn’t realise quite how much of a big deal it was for them.’
