Lost family

-

THE deaths of a family trying to cross the Channel are a tragedy.

However, the Government is not to blame for this deadly trade (Mail). Let’s lay the blame where it should be, first with the parents, then the smuggling gangs and the French.

If migrants were such a big issue for France, it would have its police, army and navy swarming over the beaches to stop anyone getting into boats.

It appears the French only do the bare minimum because once the boats are in the water, then it is no longer their problem.

All the migrants on the French beaches have travelled thousands of miles across Europe and no one has done anything to help or stop them, yet we are told Britain is to blame.

MICHAEL ALBIN, Blackburn, Lancs.

IT IS heart-breaking to not only risk your own l i fe, but that of your children. This family’s situation must have been desperate and the tragedy brings it home in a very sad way.
