We’re gonna need a bigger bridge

WITH wheels left dangling over a parapet, the driver of this mobile crane may well wish they had taken a different route.

The huge vehicle crashed through the wall of a centuries-old bridge over the Ogle Burn on the A85, near Lochearnhead, Perthshire, yesterday morning.

Police said no one was injured in the 7am incident, but a seven-mile stretch of the road would remain closed until today at the earliest.

Further assessments of the damage to the bridge will be carried out.
