‘My little girl’: Photo tribute to tragic Caroline

- By Eleanor Sharples TV and Radio Reporter

THE family of Caroline Flack has released heartbreaking photos of her as a young girl.

The never-before-seen images feature in a documentary about the Love Island presenter, who took her own life at the age of 40 on February 15 last year.

She is seen smiling for a school photograph taken in the 1990s. Another picture shows Miss Flack and her twin sister Jody posing in matching blue jackets in Norfolk, where they grew up.

The pair, again in identical outfits, are also seen with their mother Christine’s arms around them.

And Miss Flack is pictured wearing tracksuit trousers and a white crop top with her hair styled in two buns.

A clip from Channel 4’s documentary Caroline Flack: Her Life And Death, which will be screened next month, shows the presenter breaking down on camera in a video she made and insisting ‘the only person I ever hurt is myself’. It will feature Miss Flack’s close family, including her sister, and friends discussing her life. The trailer shows her mother saying: ‘She was my little girl, it doesn’t actually seem real.’ Singer Olly Murs, her friend and co-host on The X Factor, is seen choking up on camera. The show will explore the effects of fame, press attention and social media on her life. Miss Flack was found dead at her home in Islington, north London. Last year a coroner ruled she killed herself because she knew she was being prosecuted for allegedly assaulting her boyfriend Lewis Burton, and couldn’t face the coverage.
