MEDICAL DRAMA Chicago Med, 8pm, Sky Witness

THIS U.S. drama stirs up a lot of enjoyably soapy drama in every episode. Tonight, Manning and Crockett are flirting but denying it, while Choi is learning what it takes to be the boss — and that’s being unpopular, even with his favourite nurse, April (Yaya DaCosta, pictured).

WELSH HITS St David’s Day At The BBC, 9pm, BBC4

FREEVIEW MOVIE Upgrade, 9pm, Film4

THIS enjoyably trashy sci-fi thriller holds together well, even if it is hammered together from all too familiar parts. Logan MarshallGreen is the technophobe who agrees to be a cyborg guinea pig after an accident kills his wife.

FILM FRIGHTS You Should Have Left, 9pm, Sky Premiere EARLY DAYS Tom Jones’ 1950s: The Decade That Made Me, 10pm, BBC4

JONES didn’t leave Wales until the early Sixties — when he was ready ‘to take on the world’ — so regards the Fifties as a formative time. His and others’ magic-tinged recollections of the post-war decade, and the rise of rock ’n’ roll near its end, make up the bulk of this film.
