NEW documentar­y that uses snazzy visuals to illustrate the scale of the challenge we face in tackling climate change. Scientists explore solutions, such as clever technology to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and ways of recycling our emissions.

CRIME FIGHTERS Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, 9pm 5 USA

IN THIS penultimat­e episode of season 20, Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and the team investigat­e an assault on a Muslim woman inside a synagogue. Is this a racially motivated crime, or is there more to the case than first appears?

SCI-FI COMEDY Resident Alien, 9pm, Sky One

THERE are two new arrivals this week. The first is a stern military figure, played by Terminator’s Linda Hamilton, who is hot on the trail of Harry’s UFO. The second is Harry’s replacemen­t, a perfect doctor who looks like a soap actor, whom Harry (Alan Tudyk) hates on sight.

TELLY SPOOF This Time With Alan Partridge, 9pm, Gold

STEVE COOGAN’S Alan is back on the BBC in this six-parter from 2019, making life awkward for everyone as he presents a One Show-style series. It’s perfectly performed, especially by Susannah Fielding (pictured with Coogan) as the co-host who stoically puts up with him. This repeat from the start concludes tomorrow.

FILM DRAMA State Of Mind, 10pm, Sky Premiere

BASED on a real-life psychiatri­c case study, this stars Richard Gere as a doctor treating three paranoid schizophre­nic patients who all believe that they are Jesus Christ.

BEHIND THE CAMERA Amma Asante: Life Cinematic, 10.45pm, BBC4
