RYAN ROARED LIKE A LION IN IRISH VICTORY
JAMES RYAN was colossal in the way he led his team to victory yesterday. It was a performance which had echoes of Paul O’Connell. For an Irish lock, there can be no higher praise. If we ever get round to a Lions tour this summer, it now seems like a three-way shootout between Ryan, Maro Itoje and Alun Wyn Jones for the two second-row slots. Scotland’s Jonny Gray and Scott Cummings were in contention, but neither of them did anything to enhance their chances yesterday. Neither did Finn Russell or Ali Price.
