FURIOUS WILSON HITS OUT AT ‘LAZY’ WARRIORS LOSS

-

GLASGOW WARRIORS head coach Danny Wilson accused his team of looking ‘lazy’ after their defeat to the Dragons.

The furious head coach said the display after half-time — they had been 17-9 up at the interval — was probably the worst he had seen since he took over at the start of the season. He went on to slam the indiscipline of his team — Adam Hastings and Ryan Wilson were both yellow-carded — as well as their decision making under pressure.

‘We looked a little bit lazy at times and I thought we were really poor out there,’ said Wilson. ‘We lacked accuracy, the ball was on the floor too much, there were too many errors and discipline again was poor which is becoming a major, major issue. We got two yellow cards and made some poor decisions late on when we should have kicked at goal and got a losing bonus point.’

Wilson felt sorry for winger Rufus McLean whose magnificent solo try when he ran from deep in his own half to touch down counted for nothing in the end.
