Worthy of knighthood

HAVING followed Professor Chris Whitty’s briefings on this virus since day one, as far as knighthoods go, he is probably a more worthy recipient than most.

At the early stages of this crisis, he repeatedly shot down MPs who tried to trip him up at committee meeting after committee meeting – particularly former health secretary Jeremy Hunt.

Maybe Professor Jonathan Van Tam also deserves something over his vaccine campaign statements.
