Passenger on quad bike left for dead

A QUAD bike driver left his pillion passenger for dead after a horror crash yesterday morning.

The 36-year-old victim was left with serious head injuries following the collision in Wishaw, Lanarkshire, at 6.45am.

The driver initially stopped but then sped off. Police are now trying to track down the man, while his passenger fights for his life in hospital.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said: ‘The crash happened at Kenilworth Avenue, near Lammermoor Terrace.’

Sgt Scott Sutherland said: ‘We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the quad bike before or after the incident.’
