Deception and lies

IT’S a sad state of affairs in Scotland when so many people are prepared to believe the drip feed of truth distortions churned out by independence supporters.

The lie regarding the Gers figures takes the biscuit for me. These are figures issued by the Scottish government not Westminster. I had a nationalist MP at my door a few years ago who told me the Gers figures ‘are not always reliable’.

The old saying ‘If you tell a lie often enough you’ll believe it yourself’, is very fitting for the SnP.
