Ross surprised by lack of effort to get fans in

HIBERNIAN manager Jack Ross fears the SFA and SPFL have just ‘rolled over’ and accepted the absence of fans from grounds until next season. His team face Dundee United at Hampden tomorrow for a place in the Scottish Cup final, with St Johnstone and St Mirren contesting the other semi on Sunday. And, with coronaviru­s rates dropping sharply, the Easter Road boss would love the showpiece finale on May 22 to be played before a restricted number of supporters. The Scottish Government have given the green light for 12,000 fans to enter Hampden for the Euro 2020 games being staged there.

With the national stadium already under UEFA control in preparatio­n for the finals, the SFA have come under pressure to move the cup final to an alternativ­e venue so at least 2,000 supporters can attend. However, with those kind of numbers unlikely to cover the costs of ground
