Wheelchair user blocked from count
LABOUR’S Pam Duncan-Glancy, 39, finished third in Glasgow Kelvin with 8,605 votes and was elected for Glasgow in the regional list.
The first wheelchair-using MSP, she was stuck outside the counting hall for 45 minutes as staff did not believe she was a candidate.
Before entering politics, she worked part-time for a charity after receiving an MSc in Health Psychology, BSc in Psychology from Stirling University and a Post Graduate Certificate in Citizenship and Human Rights from Glasgow Caledonian University.
She is Scottish Labour’s spokesman on social security.
