Forget Indyref, Nicola... Covid recovery must be top priority

SO, after a year of daily SNP party political broadcasts (sorry, Covid briefings) on BBC Scotland and a pre-election gift list that makes Christmas pale into insignificance, approximately 31 per cent of the total Scottish electorate voted to support independence. Hardly a sweeping majority.

Having ground Scotland down over the past 14 years with a litany of failures and fiascos, will the SNP now concentrate, as it promised, on education, economic recovery and job creation – and try to create a viable future for Scotland?
