Shoe shoppers’ dream

-

KURT Geiger’s Shoeaholics brand opened the UK’s largest shoe shop yesterday, selling 20,000 pairs of shoes in a store the size of nine tennis courts.

Bosses say the store in Westfield, west London, will sell 150 brands from highfashion to high street and cater to the UK’s ‘insatiable demand for shoes’.

Shoeaholics was established in 2014 by Kurt Geiger as an online-only shop, but has now opened seven stores, which have helped it grow to £25m sales last year.

Boss Mark Hoyal-Mitchell said customer spend jumped by up to three times pre-pandemic levels, adding that the new concept will fill the gap left by shuttered department stores.
