His children’s despair at texts that end: ‘Love Dc’
DAVID Cameron’s use of ‘Love Dc’ in one of the messages sent to lobby officials has attracted attention – and despair from his children.
The former prime minister used it to end a text to Sir Tom Scholar, the Treasury’s most senior civil servant.
When asked why by Treasury committee member Harriett Baldwin,
Mr Cameron, who has three children, including two teenagers, said: ‘Anyone I know even at all well, I tend to sign off text messages with “Love Dc”. I don’t know why.’
He added: ‘My children tell me that you don’t need to sign off text messages at all and it’s very oldfashioned and odd to do so.’
