U2 CAN SING ALONG AT THE EUROS THIS SUMMER

-

WITH only four weeks until the rescheduled Euro 2020 football tournament kicks off in Rome, the season of soccer singles is upon us.

First out of the dressing room is the unlikely strike partnership of Bono and The Edge, of U2, and Dutch DJ Martin Garrix, all pictured, who today release the event’s official single We Are The People.

Like a team a goal down in extra time, the trio throw everything into the mix.

The track sounds more like a U2 song than a dance anthem, but with Bono’s vocals and The Edge’s reverb-heavy guitar backed by widescreen electronics and soaring strings, they couldn’t be accused of parking the bus.

And Crowded House gear up for next month’s Dreamers Are Waiting, their first new album in 11 years, with new single Playing With Fire.

The song, written during a quarantine jam session, is a big production number complete with horns, synths, detailed harmonies and an acoustic intermission.
