However, those looking for a tipple in Glasgow were able to enjoy their alfresco experience yesterday as clear skies and sunny weather dominated.
Students Erin Murray, Sophie Campbell and Bronwyn Stewart, all aged 18, enjoyed the warm weather in Brel, Ashton Lane, as the pub prepared for the busy Bank Holiday weekend ahead.
And they were not alone, as tables in the popular spot were snapped up by city dwellers keen to make the most of the sunshine.
