Jennifer and David DID have hots for each other
AS ROSS and Rachel they acted out one of the quintessential ‘will they, won’t they’ storylines in television history. And now Friends stars David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston have finally confirmed that their off-screen relationship nearly went the same way. Schwimmer said: ‘The first season I had a major crush on Jen. I think we both, at some point, were crushing hard on each other but it was like two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship and we never crossed that boundary. We respected that.’
Miss Aniston agreed and said their first kiss was indeed on screen. She added: ‘We just channelled all of our adoration and love for each other into Ross and Rachel.’ The revelation came during the beloved sitcom’s long-awaited reunion, which brought the cast back together for the first time since the programme ended its tenyear run in 2004.
Schwimmer, 54, and Miss Aniston, 52, were joined by co-stars Courteney Cox, 56, Lisa Kudrow, 57, Matt LeBlanc, 53, and Matthew Perry, 51, for the two-hour special reliving some of their most famous moments.
