Generation Angst can just melt away
We’ve been busy breeding snowflakes For a decade now or more, The kind that would just melt away In the heat of every war.
We’ve been busy making narcissists With egos of their own, And scabs of self-entitlement They just won’t leave alone.
We’ve been busy building mountains up Where molehills used to be, With the freedom just to imitate The likes of you and me.
We’ve been busy writing epitaphs
For all those left alive, And choosing not to visit where The rumours can’t survive.
We’ve been busy cursing cleverness The jealous bubble popped, We’ve stepped onto the gossip train And haven’t really stopped.
We’ve been busy burning history Which got us here today, And gave the snowflakes every chance To wash the world away.
