AFTER EDDIE, WHO NOW? THE CHASE IS ON... AGAIN!
NUNO ESPíRITO SANTO
Shocked Wolves by leaving at the end of the season and has yet to sign on the dotted line elsewhere. Former goalkeeper has built a formidable reputation with Rio Ave, Valencia and Porto before a highly productive four years at Molineux. Probably the dream ticket.
DOMENICO TEDESCO
The 35-year-old Italian has just left Spartak Moscow having previously been in charge of Schalke 04. Seen as one of the sharpest young coaching minds in Europe and isn’t short of offers in Germany and Italy.
ROY KEANE
Has made his desire to return to management a matter of public record and is believed to have already held talks with Dermot Desmond. A hard sell given his long time away from the front line but still a huge name who is readily available.
RAFA BENITEZ
Spanish veteran left Chinese side Dalian Professional in January and has yet to get back in to the game. Valencia, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Napoli are just a sample of clubs on his managerial CV. Would be a huge coup but not a man who sticks around for long.
LUCIEN FAVRE
Swiss veteran has been out of football since leaving Borussia Dortmund a year ago. Was strongly linked with the Celtic job before Howe became favourite. Demands a slick, dynamic attacking style of play which would go down well.
ANGE POSTECOGLOU
Bookmakers last night shortened the odds on former Australia boss Postecoglou after a flurry of wagers. The 55-year-old was most recently boss at Yokohama Marinos following a four-year stint with the Socceroos.
