ANTI-VAXX MOB INVADES ITN
Piers Corbyn among up to 200 in ugly clashes at TV news offices They hurl abuse at Jon Snow and then chant: Bring us Peston
A MOB of anti-vaccination protesters stormed ITN’s building yesterday.
Channel 4 News presenter Jon Snow was abused outside the offices and demonstrators reportedly chanted ‘Bring me Peston’ in reference to ITV News political editor Robert Peston.
Piers Corbyn, brother of former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, also attended the demonstration around the offices.
Police were called to the company’s London headquarters after protesters ‘unlawfully gained access’ to the building. Some of the group are then said to have tried to enter Google’s UK offices.
It is thought that up to 200 people forced their way into ITN’s building on Gray’s Inn Road after an anti-lockdown protest in London. It is understood they stayed in the building for a couple of hours. Demonstrators demanded to speak to broadcasting bosses, as police were seen standing between protesters and barriers in the reception as well as stopping more from entering.
A social media video showed people directing abuse at Mr Snow, 73. According to sources, he was walking back from lunch with colleagues when he was confronted by protesters who shouted at him about Covid-19 and vaccines. He was escorted in through a side entrance.
The crowd was eventually escorted from the building by police but continued to protest outside.
