CRAIG BROWN: THE SLIPPERY ART OF BIOGRAPHY
THE Mail’s very own Craig Brown is one the finest critics and satirists plying his trade in Britain today. He also does a neat sideline in biography with a twist. His latest book, One, Two, Three. Four: The Beatles in Time, made up of letters, diary entries and news reports about the Fab Four proved a runaway success when it was published last year and won the prestigous Baillie Gifford Prize for non-fiction. Here, he puts in an appearance at the Book Festival to discuss the nuts and bolts of biography writing as well as reading from an essay specially commissioned by Book Fest that will be available with every purchase of the book.
