WHY is Rishi Sunak held in such high esteem?

Furlough was a reasonable idea, but it just allowed failing businesses to keep operating and has gone on for far too long. Stamp duty suspension resulted in house prices going through the roof, making it even harder for first-time buyers to get a foot on the ladder.

Now he’s realised the country is almost bankrupt, he wants to punish pensioners by removing the triple lock by saying we can’t afford it.

I wouldn’t want him in charge of my household budget.
