Emma stars in...The Clown
After Diana’s tiaras and those glamorous gowns, actress raids the dressing-up box
SHOES that would fit a clown ... a Pierrot-style outfit ... it’s a long way from her role as Princess Diana.
This is Emma Corrin bringing a circus touch to a wacky magazine photoshoot.
The Crown star, 25, was pictured wearing a cardboard box – as well as bursting out of one – and quirky outfits including the black Pierrot-like ensemble with a top hat and platform brogues.
Miss Corrin also wore a psychedelic Prada jumpsuit and patterned puffy shoulder dress in the shoot for W magazine.
In other pictures her face is painted white with pointed red lips. The actress also opened up about wanting to be ‘authentic’ about her sexuality. Miss Corrin changed her pronouns to she/they earlier this year and later came out as queer – a term for someone who is not straight or does not identify with the gender they were given at birth.
‘It’s hard when you have a platform, but I want to make everything feel very authentic,’ she told the publication.
Miss Corrin, who was born in Kent, also spoke about her first kiss and her first love. ‘It was... at night where he dropped me off from our date. And I ran up the driveway screaming,’ she said.
The star was linked to art director Ibrahim ‘Ibby’ Njoya in July, with the pair pictured holding hands in north London.
Her Crown co-star Josh O’Connor, 31, who played Prince Charles, shared one of the new images on Instagram and joked: ‘Can’t put them in a box.’
PS: REMEMBER HER AS DIANA IN THE CROWN?
