Minister stuns clubbers by dancing till 2.30am
AS a longstanding MP, he’s more familiar with party politics than hedonistic parties.
But Michael Gove was seen ‘giving it big licks’ as he danced to techno music in a nightclub in the early hours of yesterday morning.
To the surprise of fellow revellers, the Aberdeen native enjoyed a night out in his hometown following news last month that he and his wife of 20 years, columnist Sarah Vine, are to divorce.
The Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, 54, was filmed dancing in the Bohemia club and posed for pictures with ravers. In videos posted online, Mr Gove, dressed in a suit with no tie, is seen jumping and waving his arms to the music.
He was still going strong at 2.30am, said musician Emma Lament, who told The Daily Record: ‘He really was enjoying himself. I don’t think he left the dancefloor.’
He attended the Pipe club night, described as ‘an unpredictable mix of the most high energy UK and global club music scenes’.
