Festival crowds hoping TRNSMT doesn’t live up to name

-

WITH revellers required to show they don’t have Covid, organisers of the TRNSMT Festival were yesterday doing their best to stop the event from living up to its name when it comes to infection.

Up to 50,000 fans descended on Glasgow as the three-day festival returned after a two-year absence forced by pandemic restrictions.

Fans had to show a negative lateral flow test taken within the previous 48 hours to enter and those attending on multiple days must take a second test 48 hours after the first.

More than 70 acts are due to perform across three stages at Glasgow Green over the weekend event.

They include Liam Gallagher, Primal Scream, Snow Patrol, Amy Macdonald, Keane and The Chemical Brothers.
