...as royals gather for delayed nuptials

- By Royal Editor

THE granddaughter of the Queen’s cousin celebrated her marriage yesterday after the pandemic scuppered her lavish plans last year.

Flora Ogilvy, 26, whose grandmother is Princess Alexandra, tied the knot with fiance Timothy Vesterberg, 28, in a private ceremony last year when numbers were restricted by coronavirus rules.

But yesterday the couple held a second ceremony where they could finally be joined by members of the extended family, including the Earl and Countess of Wessex, Princess Michael of Kent, the Duke of Kent and his granddaughter Lady Amelia Windsor.

Miss Ogilvy arrived at St James’s Chapel in Piccadilly, central London, with her parents James and Julia and her brother Alexander.

The bride wore a white sweetheart neckline gown, designed by Phillipa Lepley, with the Ogilvy pearl-detailed tiara. She held a small bouquet by Izabela Davi. Her bridesmaids were Maud and Isabella Windsor, daughters of Lord Freddie Windsor and his actress wife Sophie.

The service was led by the Reverend Lucy Winkett, with music by the Chapel Royal choir, and was followed by a reception at the state apartments at St James’s Palace.

Afterwards, Mrs Vesterberg posed for photographers outside the chapel with her husband, a Swedish financier.

They married last year at the Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace, having become engaged in 2019.
