EASYJET SALE
EASYJET has launched an autumn sale with discounts of 20 per cent on flights to more than 120 destinations in Europe. Departures are available from eight UK airports with one-way fares from Gatwick to Malaga, Manchester to Tenerife and Bristol to Faro from £14.50. Book by September 14 (easyjet.com).
CANADA CALLING
AIR Canada has resumed flights from Heathrow to Calgary, the gateway to the Rocky Mountains. The green-listed country is now welcoming fully vaccinated travellers and the airline also offers direct flights to Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver (aircanada.com, destinationcanada.com).
CANARY ISLANDS SUN
WIZZ Air has restarted twice-weekly flights from Luton to Fuerteventura with fares from £14.99 one-way. The adults-only Avanti Lifestyle Hotel has 15 rooms in the centre of Corralejo with doubles from £118, B&B (wizzair.com, avantilifestylehotel.com).
NEW FLIGHTS TO NICE
ROMANIAN budget carrier Blue Air will start twice-weekly flights from Heathrow to Nice on September 16, with one-way fares from £19.99. The four-star Hotel Suisse overlooks Baie des Anges and has doubles from £132, room only, in October (flyblueair.com, hotel-nice-suisse.com).
HEATHROW DROP-OFF CHARGE
HEATHROW Airport will introduce a £5 charge for vehicles dropping off passengers at terminal forecourts from October (no exact date as yet). Taxis are included. The fee can be paid online and by phone (heathrow.com).
FLY ELECTRIC
SUFFOLK-based NEBO Air is launching pioneering zero-carbon flights in an allelectric, two-seater Velis Electro light aircraft. Aviation fans can join a waiting list for the 45-minute experience. Flights depart from Damyns Hall Aerodrome in East London, from £150 (neboair.co.uk).
CHRISTMAS IN AUSTRIA
BRITISH Airways is launching flights from London City and Southampton to Salzburg on December 10 and 11 respectively, for the city’s two main Christmas markets. Hotel Am Dom has doubles from £128, B&B (ba. com, salzburg.info, hotelamdom.at).
