GLASGOW CLAN

FOUNDED: 2010. Joined Elite League in 2010.

HEAD COACH: Malcolm Cameron. Succeeded Zack Fitzgerald this summer. Has the fifth-highest number of wins in the East Coast League and joined from Romanian side Gyergyoi.

STAR PLAYER: Matt Haywood (right). The only original player from the club’s beginning in 2010 and widely known as ‘Mr Clan.’ He will be a key asset for the new coach and a new-look team around him.

ONE TO WATCH: Jamie Crooks. The former Guildford man racked up an average of 1.4 points per game in Surrey and could be the main man for goals this season

ARENA CAPACITY: 4,000.

DUNDEE STARS

FOUNDED: 2010. Joined Elite League in 2010.

HEAD COACH: Omar Pacha. Joined Stars in 2017 after previously coaching Hull Stingrays and Manchester Storm. Also the club’s general manager.

STAR PLAYER: Drydn Dow. Back for a third season and is a hugely-popular player among Stars fans. For a defenceman, gets his fair share of points with 79 in over 106 appearance­s so far.

ONE TO WATCH: Craig Garrigan returns to Dundee after winning the short format Elite Series with Nottingham Panthers earlier this year. Could be a big year for him if he gets plenty of ice time.

ARENA CAPACITY: 2,300.

TICKET PRICES: £9-£20.

FIFE FLYERS

FOUNDED: 1938. Joined Elite League in 2011.

HEAD COACH: Todd Dutiaume. First joined the club in 1998 and became their player-coach in 2005. Now entering his 17th season in charge.

STAR PLAYER: Shane Owen. The Flyers netminder is highly rated in the Elite League, so Fife bringing him back to the club could be something of a coup for them.

ONE TO WATCH: Craig Peacock. The former Clan forward will have something to prove after switching from Glasgow in the summer and could be a big player for the Flyers this season.

ARENA CAPACITY: 2,462.

TICKET PRICES: £9.50-£19.
