How VERY wicked! Brazen gang steals £280k of Blue WKD booze

- Daily Mail Reporter

POLICE are hunting for thieves who stole £280,000 of alcohol from a Scots warehouse.

Detectives say the brazen robbers broke into Caledonian Bottlers in Cumnock, Ayrshire, during Saturday evening.

Police said three HGV lorries were later driven to the bottlers in the early hours of Monday, and pallets containing Blue WKD alcohol, valued at around £280,000, were stolen.

At around 11:45pm on Monday, one of the lorries containing pallets of Blue WKD, pictured, was found on fire on the A76 between Mennock and Enterkinfoot in Dumfriesshire. Police have warned people to be wary of anyone selling Blue WKD at a heavily discounted price. Last night, Detective Constable Hugh Dempster, at Kilmarnock police station, said: ‘I would like to speak to anyone who has any information on the actual break-in at Caledonian Bottlers or anyone who may have seen a convoy of three HGV vehicles leaving the premises. ‘I’d also ask any drivers to check their dash cam footage.’
