THEY’RE known for their travels around the world to look for quality ingredients, and now, Si King and Dave Myers (pictured) are on home turf, riding across the counties of northern England to meet the food producers revolutionising cooking — and making inspired dishes along the way. In this first of eight parts, they’re in Lancashire — from historic Pendle to the seaside town of Blackpool. They visit Kirkby Lonsdale Brewery, before heading to an alcohol-free bar for alternative drinks. The Bikers also meet a family rearing water buffalo to make extra-special cheeses — and they couldn’t pass up the opportunity to sample the wares at a celebrated Blackpool ice-cream parlour.
