there are more than 70 energy companies servicing the country, with 70 fat-cat boards of directors, 70 massive advertising budgets and goodness knows how many admin staff to keep the wheels turning.

Profits go offshore where the gas and oil came from in the first place.

there are just too many energy companies fighting for market share. the answer is to nationalise the energy sector or restrict it to just a few companies under close government supervision.

Utilities and public transport are too important to be run privately.
