Caught napping

LAST year Nicola Sturgeon was aiming to eliminate Covid entirely. Now it seems she is ‘encouraged’ only around 3,000 cases are seen daily.

If only 1 per cent of these were to develop severe symptoms that is 30 cases a day. The NHS cannot keep absorbing these numbers.

The reality is Miss Sturgeon is trying to minimise this situation because it has all happened under the less than watchful gaze of SNP ministers of health. This was an accident waiting to happen.
