RANGERS ‘HELD TALKS OVER CINCH IBROX’
RANGERS reportedly held talks with cinch over naming rights to Ibrox before their dispute with the SPFL over the firm’s sponsorship of the Scottish league. Advocate Lord Keen of Elie QC told the Court of Session yesterday that Rangers Football Club Ltd spoke to the online car retailer cinch about a proposal to call the club’s home ‘the cinch Ibrox stadium’. The SPFL champions, heard the court, were in negotiations with cinch right up until June 7. On June 11, four days later, the SPFL announced a five-year £8million sponsorship deal with the car firm.
