A MODEL dubbed the ‘Brooke Shields of Kuwait’ scratched her ex-husband’s neck and cut up his clothes after accusing him of sleeping with prostitutes, a court was told yesterday.

Rawan Bin Hussain alleged commodities trader Youssef Migariaf, 38, gave her a sexually transmitted disease. Bin Hussain, 24, a former cover star of Cosmopolitan Middle East, pleaded guilty to harassment and criminal damage over a furious row in a luxury London apartment last year.

Mr Migariaf, whose uncle Mohammed is a former president of Libya, told the Daily Mail his ex-wife became violent after he threatened to leave her. He claimed he hid in a bathroom to phone police while she rampaged around cutting up his clothes.

She was arrested and banned from making contact with him, but he alleged she sent him a message saying: ‘You are disgusting and pathetic and a pathological liar.’

Mr Migariaf claimed Bin Hussain posted photos and contact details of relatives including his mother to her six million Instagram followers so they were inundated with calls from strangers. She is said to have published a message saying: ‘So now to let everyone know I am very proud to say I’m divorcing with my husband.’ She alleged she had a sexual infection ‘because he sleeps with random prostitutes. If this will make me less of a human being, that’s fine.’

Bin Hussain, who is now using the surname Abdullah, studied law at King’s College London and flew from Dubai for yesterday’s hearing at Westminster Magistrates’ Court.

Jonathan Bryan, prosecuting, said: ‘They were both staying at the same apartment and there was an argument. Miss Abdullah used a pair of scissors to cut up a polo shirt which belonged to the complainant...Mr Migariaf also sustained a scratch to his neck.’ Mr Migariaf said during the course of their relationship Bin Hussain threatened to set her ‘army’ of social media followers on him.

He alleged: ‘She has said “If you’re not with me I will bring you down, destroy your business, your family”.’

He added: ‘My uncle was the president of Libya. She has tried to ruin a highly respected family.’

Justin Rouse QC, for Bin Hussain, told the court she claimed Mr Migariaf had pushed her during a row in 2019. He said: ‘They had a child together and he has refused to support that child.

‘She is a woman of a young age – she was 21 when the defendant met her and he is 14 years older than her. ‘

Bin Hussain was fined £6,500 and banned from contacting Mr Migariaf for five years, going to his London home, contacting his relatives or posting about him online. An assault charge was dropped.

Mr Migariaf denied sleeping with prostitutes or having a sexual infection. He said of his ex-wife: ‘The contrast between the public image and the private person is quite stark and could not be wider. I also regret and reject her false slanderous accusations and allegations, including the various media reports which perpetuated her spin regarding prostitutes.’
