ORKNEY is an archipelago off the northern coast of Scotland, and it’s where Julia Bradbury and Good Morning Britain weather presenter Alex Beresford (pictured) are heading to see how the islands are moving towards a greener future. Orkney produces 130 per cent of its energy needs through renewable resources; here, we see how Orcadians harness their extreme weather to power the islands. One small community has even built a massive wind turbine, and is selling the power generated to the grid. What lessons can we all learn from these eco-friendly islanders?
