Samuels returns to Wolves after Dons deal is cut short

-

ABERDEEN have confirmed that striker Austin Samuels has returned to Wolves halfway through his loan spell at Pittodrie. Samuels joined the Dons on a season-long deal in August with an option-to-buy clause in the agreement. However, the 21-year-old made only three starts for the club, as well as three substitute appearances, and did not find the net. Newcastle midfielder Matty Longstaff also saw his loan cut short this week but Dons boss Stephen Glass has revealed that on-loan Brighton midfielder Teddy Jenks will remain at Pittodrie for the time being. ‘At the minute, the plan is for Teddy to still be here,’ he explained. ‘Austin will be going back to Wolves. We’ve had talks between the clubs and Austin, and that looks like being the best situation. ‘So, Matty and Austin will go back to their parent clubs and we wish them the best.’
