MISSING . . .

-

‘I’D LOVE to get in touch with my cousin, Pamela Campbell,’ writes Annitta Thomas, nee Doyle, 77, a retired boarding school matron.

‘Her parents were Harold and Anita, who was the sister of my father, Bill Doyle.

‘Pamela was an only child brought up in West Derby, Liverpool, where her dad was the village butcher. I think they also ran the sweet shop and tobacconist. I was also an only child in Walton, Liverpool.

‘Pamela was two years younger than me. As children, we’d see each other three or four times a year and liked each other very much. But we saw a lot less of each other after going to senior school.

‘I went to Florence Melly secondary modern, while Pamela passed the 11-plus and went to a grammar school.

‘In 1966, at the age of 22, I got married, moved to North Wales and Pamela and I lost touch.

‘I believe she kept in contact with our other cousin, Margie, who lived in Surrey and married Michael Holliday, who was a well-known pop singer in the 1950s. I have two children and three grandchildren.’
