One of the fugitives those idiots definitely aren’t catching is Caleb (Sean Maher), and it’s down to Officer Nolan and his newly honed skills of empathy to make headway there.

NICOLAS CAGE’S career has been patchy, but this gritty, understate­d drama gives him one of his better roles to date. Cage stars as Joe Ransom, a loyal if taciturn ex-con with a violent past, who lends a helping hand to a troubled boy (Tye Sheridan).
