IOAN Gruffudd’s estranged wife branded his new girlfriend a ‘vixen’ and a ‘psychopathic succubus’ in a string of vitriolic messages, it has emerged. The Welsh movie star, 48, filed for a restraining order against Alice Evans this week, claiming she has bombarded him with ‘harassment and abuse’ since they announced their split last year. Included in court documents are hundreds of pages of texts, emails and social media posts from Miss Evans, 53, some of which refer to his partner Bianca Wallace, a 29-year-old Australian actress. One message read: ‘Dude your film with Bianca is the most embarrassing thing I have EVER seen in [news site] Deadline... You have left a family you were providing for. You had SPECIFICALLY asked this loving family to wait for you while you worked abroad. We did.’ Miss Evans was referring to the announcement this month that Gruffudd will co-star with his girlfriend in a drama based on Miss Wallace’s multiple sclerosis diagnosis. Mentioning the Duke of Sussex and his wife Meghan, Miss Evans continued: ‘Then you met the most psychopathic succubus ever minnow to man, and fell for her. Even Prince Harry ... whatever. No No No No No. ‘Find some financing then make what ever film you want. But don’t take away everything you have because some vixen has your nuts between her veneers. PS: There is already betting on how long until she leaves you! PROPER BETTING! Now THAT’S famous.’

Gruffudd, who married Miss Evans in 2007, filed for divorce in March last year. The couple have two daughters, Ella, 12, and Elsie, eight.

When he revealed he was dating Miss Wallace last October, his wife accused them of having a three-year affair.

The actor – who starred in Marvel’s Fantastic Four films and more recently appeared in ITV drama series Liar – submitted an application for a domestic violence restraining order in California on Tuesday.

In the filing he claimed Miss Evans verbally threatened to tell the media that he had abused her and do ‘what Amber Heard did to Johnny Depp’.

The comment refers to the high profile court battle between actress Miss Heard and movie star Depp after she accused him of abuse.

In her response, Miss Evans claimed Gruffudd’s filing was ‘a ploy to gain some sort of advantage over me in our divorce proceedings’ and to ‘set some type of record that I am a horrible mother’. She added: ‘I have been besides myself terrified that he will stop at nothing to hurt me emotionally and financially, and more alarming, try to take our children away from me.’

In messages submitted by Gruffudd, Miss Evans denies threatening him, instead claiming she is ‘tormenting you like you have tormented me by making me feel useless and ugly and adept at nothing for the best 20 years of my life’. Repeated messages tell him to ‘pick up the phone’. Another accuses him of being in ‘dire need of psychiatric help’.

Miss Evans also claims she has signed up to dating apps because she has been ‘deprived’ of love and that she is ‘going to dedicate the rest of my life to spreading awareness of what you have done’.
