Green dilemma over the Nats’ yellow bus

THE launch of a diesel-guzzling campaign bus brought Nicola Sturgeon’s green credentials under scrutiny yesterday.
The First Minister was also mocked for arriving at the Dundee launch in an official limo despite claiming her focus was the cost-of-living crisis. Miss Sturgeon described the 2016 Volvo bus – bearing the same picture of her previously used on a campaign helicopter – as ‘the most environmentally friendly form of bus like that you can get right now’.
Miss Sturgeon added: ‘I think it’s important to get into every corner and every community as far as you possibly can, and having a campaign bus like this allows us to do that.’
Tory MSP Jamie Halcro Johnson tweeted: ‘Nicola Sturgeon launches her “cost of living tour” having appeared to have been driven to the SNP bus in her chauffeur-driven taxpayerfunded government limo.’
