REAL OR FAKE?
The Lost Leonardo, 9pm, Sky Arts
‘EVERYBODY wanted it to be a Leonardo.’ This new documentary, featuring a colourful cast of characters from the art world, is the thrilling story of Da Vinci’s missing work Salvator Mundi, or Saviour Of The World. It was sold by Christie’s in New York in 2017 for £326 million — the highest price ever paid for a single painting up to that time. The work is now the property of Mohammed bin Salman, the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, though its exact whereabouts are unclear. But the big question is, was it real?
