BOFFELLI HAS STAR QUALITY AT EDINBURGH

- CALUM CROWE

EDINBURGH skills coach Gareth Baber has hailed the stunning impact made by Argentina star Emiliano Boffelli after yet another excellent performance. A player who has excelled both at full-back and on the wing, Boffelli scored a brace of tries in the 41-19 victory over Bath in the Challenge Cup last 16 on Saturday night. He has now scored eight tries in 14 games overall since making the move to Scotland from French side Racing 92 last summer. Edinburgh now have a Challenge Cup quarter-final against Wasps to look forward to and will continue their push for a place in the URC play-offs when they host Zebre on Friday night. Baber said: ‘It is my first time working with him (Boffelli) and he’s obviously had an impact here at Edinburgh. ‘He goes about his business as professionally as I have seen anybody. He offers a point of difference with his goal-kicking standards. ‘It is nice to see him play some excellent rugby for us.’

GLASGOW WARRIORS have named a 32-man squad, which includes 17 Scotland internationals, to travel to South Africa for their crucial URC double-header against the Stormers and the Bulls, with a win in either match set to guarantee their place in the knockout stages.
