GP booking blues

-

IT WOULD be nice to know when GPs are actually going to open their doors to allow

face-to-face appointments without the infernal telephone booking system.

It’s a case of don’t call us and we won’t call you. BRENDA INCH, Westerham,

Kent.

SO MANY people are disenchanted with the service they receive from GPs.

I tried for three weeks to get an appointment after suffering painful stomach cramps. I was finally seen by my GP, who examined me and said I didn’t need to be referred to the hospital.

I paid to see a private doctor and have been told I will see a NHS consultant in August at the earliest.

Name and address supplied.

SURELY GPs are doubling their workload by having a telephone consultation before then seeing a patient face to face.
