Does Beergate show up Labour as hypocrites?

-

KEIR STARMER claiming he was attending a work meeting at the Miners Hall in Co. Durham just doesn’t cut it with people like me who were working 12-hour shifts in a nearby office at the time. The strict rules I followed included wearing a mask every time I moved from my desk. If the office was at maximum capacity, I had to wear a mask at all times. But Beergate wouldn’t bother me so much if it wasn’t for the political mileage Labour made out of Partygate.

ERIC CRAGGS, Shildon, Co. Durham.

THE difference between Beergate and Partygate is that it wasn’t Sir Keir Starmer who introduced the crazy lockdown restrictions. Boris Johnson has come in for so much criticism because he broke the rules for which he was responsible.

TIM MICKLEBURGH, Grimsby, lincs.

NOW that the Beergate scandal has been exposed and the public has been assured it will be dealt with fairly, may we look forward to weeks of BBC reports of the Prime Minister moralising over Sir Keir Starmer’s behaviour? Will Boris Johnson be spending hours of Parliamentary time on Beergate?

What on earth will Lorraine and Loose Women make of it?

BARRIE TWADDLE, Bournemouth.

FOR weeks, Keir Starmer and Angela Rayner demanded that Boris Johnson stand down over Partygate. Now it has been revealed that both of them were present at Beergate, their feeble utterances are no more convincing than Boris’s.

PHILIP CODD, Manchester.

BEERGATE and Partygate? Put a sock in it! With war in Ukraine and the cost-of-living crisis, there are more important things to worry about.

r. STEER, hartlepool, Co. Durham.
