MY FUTURE IS AT CELTS, JOTA TELLS BENFICA

CELTIC last night took a step closer to landing Jota on a permanent basis after the winger declared his interest in a switch to Parkhead. The 23-year-old has impressed on a season-long loan from Benfica, scoring 12 goals for the league leaders including finding the net in Sunday’s 1-1 Old Firm home draw with Rangers. Celtic have an option to purchase Jota outright for £6.5million and reports in Portugal yesterday stated that the attacker has now informed Benfica his future lies with the Scottish champions-elect. Benfica are now planning for his departure in the summer with newspaper A Bola also reporting that contract talks between the relevant parties have started.
