CELTIC last night took a step closer to landing Jota on a permanent basis after the winger declared his interest in a switch to Parkhead. The 23-year-old has impressed on a season-long loan from Benfica, scoring 12 goals for the league leaders including finding the net in Sunday’s 1-1 Old Firm home draw with Rangers.
