Sir Andy hit by food poisoning

SIR Andy Murray has been forced to withdraw from the Madrid Open at the 11th hour due to food poisoning.

The 34-year-old was yesterday due to face world number one Novak Djokovic for the first time in more than five years in the third round of the tournament.

Djokovic now goes through to the quarter finals. On Tuesday Sir Andy, pictured, said in an interview that he would have ‘no chance’ against Djokovic, adding ‘he is world number one and I am playing with a metal hip’.
