Domino’s in demand

doMIno’S said it saw a massive recovery in the number of customers who came into shops to collect orders in the three first months of the year.

The pizza company said collection sales rose 45.4pc compared with the same period a year ago.

The business said it had seen a 5.5pc rise in overall orders and expects earnings to be in line with market expectations this year.

chief executive dominic Paul also revealed yesterday that ‘we have also commenced a trial which will enable customers in a small number of locations across the uK and Ireland to order domino’s via the Just eat platform, but delivered by domino’s drivers’.

Shares, however, fell 7.2pc.
